It’s been full-throttle for the Wolfmet motorsport division since the beginning of the year. The team has been busy manufacturing precision engineered tungsten components for several of the teams competing in this month’s 2020 world championship opener in Melbourne.
Steve Wright, Commercial Manager for Wolfmet, commented; “We’re delighted to be continuing the supply of tungsten components to teams competing in the pinnacle of motorsport, and take great pride in the fact that we’ve done so for over 20 years now!
We are a well-oiled outfit when it comes to meeting the manufacturers’ production schedules and specifications, turning around various tungsten components to the tight deadlines as requested. We’ll be watching the races with interest over the coming year knowing that our components will help to keep the cars performing to their optimum”.
Michael Anderson, Managing Director for Specialty Products added; “it’s a combination of quality engineered tungsten materials, production efficiency, and customer support that makes Wolfmet appealing to some of the most prestigious motorsport operations in the world. Our factory capabilities of making and machining precision engineered tungsten components on-site, to precise designs, means that the teams can apply greater weight in less space – helping to balance the cars perfectly without compromising aerodynamics”.
Wolfmet wishes all the teams competing in this year’s championship the best of luck!
