The Dense and Mechanically Stable Solution

Wolfmet is the prime choice for adding balance or vibration damping mass where space is at a premium and mechanical strength is required. The high density of tungsten alloy also provides one of the most effective gamma and x-ray radiation shields available.

The Environmentally Friendly Answer

Wolfmet is the inert alternative to materials such as lead and depleted uranium, making it safe for use even in the most environmentally sensitive areas.

Wolfmet Properties

  • High density of up to 18.5 g/cm3 (0.665 lb/in3)
  • Offers good resistance to thermal cracking, erosion, soldering and the effects of heat cycling
  • Dimensionally stable up to 1000 °C (1830 °F)
  • Can be machined using conventional tooling
